30 Year Anniversary celebration offer of complimentary BMW luggage

As part of BMW Motorrad’s celebration of 30 years of the iconic GS (Gelande Strasse) boxer twin range of adventure tour motorcycles, a set of complimentary panniers will be offered with the purchase of any new R 1200 GS motorcycle registered between 01 June and 30 September 2010.


The offer covers both the standard R 1200 GS and R 1200 GS Adventure machines as well as the special-edition 30 Year Anniversary R 1200 GS and Adventure models.

BMW Motorrad is offering a set of Vario Panniers worth £506.57 to anyone buying the R 1200 GS, and a pair of Aluminium Panniers worth £665.45 to new GS Adventure owners.

The Vario Panniers are a sleek, urban-styled storage solution which can expand from 50-litre capacity to 68 by sliding a bar when extra room is needed. When the trip is over, slide the bar back and the width of both panniers is reduced by 120mm, making urban riding even easier.

The Aluminium Panniers offered with the GS Adventure are hand-built to a very high standard to match the rugged, tough nature of the bike. With a total of 82 litres of storage, these impressive panniers are strong enough to be used as a seat when you’re away from the trappings of civilisation. They also feature stainless-steel lashing eyelets allowing lighter items to be secured to the top.

The offer applies to any new R 1200 GS and Adventure models purchased and registered between 01 June and 30 September and also includes locking kits for both sets. Pannier fastenings are not included for the Adventure and are available from BMW Motorrad dealers.
